Communities In Schools of Mid-America Welcomes Students and Staff Back to School

Lawrence, KS – Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation’s largest and most effective dropout prevention organization. CIS of Mid-America, an affiliate of the national organization, provides support services to more than 35,000 students located in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Oklahoma.

“We could not do all that we do without the support of schools and districts, volunteers, donors, community partners, and of course, our board.”

Malissa Martin, President and CEO of CIS of Mid-America

The non-profit organization is headed back into local schools this month, ready to do whatever it takes to provide students with the support they need to stay in school and achieve in life.
