El Dorado Community Foundation (ECF) has selected this year’s grant recipients. The Foundation awarded a total of $12,410 in grant funds. The organizations being awarded this year are:
El Dorado Senior Center, Inc. $610 Partners In Education Foundation, Inc. $400 Communities In Schools of Mid-America $750 Kansas Oil Museum $1,500 Kids Need To Eat (KN2E) $1,000 Family Life Center of Butler County $2,266 Butler Homeless Initiative $2,267 Butler County Library Outreach, Bradford Library $2,267 Lincoln Elementary, USD 402 $350 Butler County Animal Response Team $1,000
The ECF accepted applications from organizations that serve Butler County throughout the month of May. Two teams of volunteers, which included both El Dorado board members and community members, reviewed this year’s applications.
The mission of ECF is “to assist the community in making charitable dreams a reality.” They do this by bringing together individuals, groups and organizations which have needs with those who have the resources or leadership abilities to assist in meeting those needs.
ECF is an area affiliate with the Central Kansas Community Foundation. Founded in 1995, their mission is “Building Stronger Communities Through Charitable Giving.”
