At school, at home, or in between, kids need you as they head back to class.

Across the network, districts and educators are finalizing back-to-school plans, many with online options for students. Each district, and in some communities each school, has its unique strategy for bringing together students and education.

Simultaneously, Communities In Schools (CIS) of Mid-America has revamped our remote work plan for Site Coordinators and is prepared to serve students and families through any platform. In March 2020, we quickly adapted our supports to meet the evolving needs as the novel coronavirus swept through our communities. By listening to those we serve, communicating with schools and districts, and maintaining strong relationships with our community partners, we continued our work without a break in services.

We developed our support strategy for the 2020-21 school year using the same approach as when the virus first hit our network. Our response will complement individual district plans and evolve to meet the need, accordingly.

CIS of Mid-America will continue to go beyond the school walls to do Whatever It Takes for students and families in need. We are proud to be #AllinforKids.
