Frontier school of innovation elementary kc, mo

Amber Noutoua received a degree from Oral Roberts University in Biology Pre-Medicine with a minor in Missions.  Upon graduation from college she moved to San Salvador, El Salvador where she taught Biology and Science in English for 3 years to 8th-11th graders.  While there, Amber established a secondary girls soccer program.  She also traveled internationally with students to her alma mater where they competed in an international academics, arts and athletics competition, which lead to the receipt of a full tuition scholarship for a student.  She was able to pick up some conversational Spanish along the way.  Upon her return to the U.S. she moved to Omaha where she started working with Partnership 4 Kids, a group mentoring program, for 3 years in 4 elementary schools and 3 middle schools.  Amber worked with upper elementary and middle school students and their mentors to provide opportunities for students to connect with a caring adult and have exposure to post-secondary education opportunities.  After Partnership 4 Kids, she became the Teen Program Director for the Carter Lake Boys and Girls Club for a few months, where she created and ran programs for the teens.  She was then hired by Completely Kids as their Site Director for R.M. Marrs Magnet Center, a 5th-8th grade school, where she ran the afterschool program.  She had the opportunity to manage 11 staff and several community partners  and teachers.  The program served about 140 students per day, offered several enrichment programs, had strong parental engagement and parent volunteers, a summer program and several field trip opportunities for the students.  While there, they had 3 amazing programs established that were very strong.

Amber grew up in South Dakota, which is where her family still lives.  She is married to her husband, Jean Sylvestre Noutoua.  She has a stepdaughter, Kheana, who is 16, and a son, Liam, who is 1.  She loves spending time with her family and friends, dancing for fun, volunteering and attending events at her church, and finding authentic “hole-in-the-wall” restaurants.  Traveling and helping those in need is a passion of Ambers.
