MARYSVILLE JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL - Marysville, KS

Student Support Coordinator Shelly Crome took students to the community's Pony Up Marysville event; an opportunity for community leaders to speak to students about the importance of giving back and how it takes the entire community giving in order to keep parks and museums and other non-profits open and operating. In a particularly moving moment, a student reached into his pocket and donated $40 of his own money and put it toward a cause close to his heart. A touching moment for all to witness!

EL DORADO MIDDLE SCHOOL - El Dorado, KS

To end the school year on a positive note, El Dorado Middle School (EMS) Student Support Coordinator Randy Just organized an all-school assembly with an evening concert for the students, families, and school staff. The assembly featured youth motivational speaker, Terrence Lee Talley, who provided an upbeat and powerful message to the students at EMS about their self-worth and importance as individuals. That evening, the band 10 Talents hosted a concert and invited Terrence back to the stage for another encouraging and meaningful conversation. After the concert, students enjoyed buying merch and getting autographs from Terrence and the members of Ten Talents.
