
Since retiring as an occupational therapist, Laura has devoted her volunteer time and efforts to improving the lives of children and public education. She has been involved with PTA at the local, council, state, and national levels, including serving as Kansas State PTA President. As Kansas State PTA President, Laura served on many statewide educational committees and boards. She has also served on the Kansas State Association of Parliamentarians and continues to be a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians. Recently, she has served as bylaws chairman and chapter president for another organization. Laura and her husband are long-time residents of Overland Park. She loves playing with her two young grandchildren, volunteering, genealogy, traveling, and gardening. Laura feels honored to have been a member of the CIS of Mid-America board since 2003.
