#StaffSpotlight – Winter Moore

Today’s #StaffSpotlight highlights Student Support Coordinator and Employee of the Month for September, Winter Moore! When Winter was nominated for employee of the month, her nominator said, “The depth of knowledge Winter brings to CIS, Fort Scott Middle School, and everyone she interacts with is extraordinary. The passion she has for her work and students on an individual level is evident and motivating. KUDOS to her for sharing her knowledge and gifts with all of us.”

  • What are 3 words to describe CIS of Mid-America?
    • Motivating, Supportive, Positive.
  • What is your favorite thing about working at Communities In Schools of Mid-America?
    • I LOVE all of the people I work with. Getting to hear everyone’s personal “WHY” for why we do what we do fills my cup.
  • What advice do you have for kids who are struggling in school?
    • Today might be hard but tomorrow can ALWAYS be better.
  • What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
    • My best friend and my dogs.
  • What is your favorite line from a movie?
    • “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all” – Mulan.
  • Where is your favorite place to be?
    • Somewhere in the mountain’s with my dogs.
  • Which cartoon character would you most like to switch lives with?
    • Hiccup from How to Train your dragon.

    • Ellen- I think she has a huge heart, and I love being around people who make me laugh
