Michael joined CIS of Mid-America as the agency’s Director of Communications in June 2022. He is a skilled writer and public speaker, using his knowledge and experience in communications, marketing, and public relations to support the agency internally and externally through various social media platforms, newsletters, and storytelling. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management as well as a Master’s degree in theology & community advocacy. An ordained minister, he holds a certificate in social justice education. He lives in Lawrence, Kansas, with his husband Matt and their dog, Karma.
