Today’s #StaffSpotlight highlights Student Support Coordinator and Employee of the Month for December, Theresa Plata! When Theresa was nominated for employee of the month, her nominator said, “I am nominating Thresa for employee of the month for many reasons – dedication, creativity, initiative, and reliability, to name a few. Since day one as an SSC, Theresa has maintained the initiative and self-management that exemplifies the responsibility of SSCs at their Sites. I know Theresa is an employee of the month and works relentlessly so that she is an employee of the month every month, recognized or not. The integrity and tenacity of her work are seen in the faces of her students!”

- Making an impact on students and their families. Seeing the students strive and achieve their goals is the ultimate!
- What advice do you have for kids who are struggling in school?
- Remember who you are, and never give up. You are in charge of your life. Challenges will come and go but going through them will give you strength and wisdom. You are stronger than you know and smart than you realize. Center yourself and achieve your dreams.
- What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
- My son, Henry. He is my purpose and blessing in life. His love keeps me centered and focused.
- What is your favorite line from a movie?

- Home with my son and fur babies.
