Today’s #StaffSpotlight highlights Program Director and Employee of the Month for February, Reannon Chamberlain! When Reannon was nominated for employee of the month, her nominator said, “I don’t know where to start on all the amazing things she does for Team Rural. Reannon believes and projects that she only succeeds if we succeed…She makes me feel accountable for wanting to be a better person. It has made me feel that not only does she truly want the best for us but that she truly cares.”

- What is your favorite thing about working at Communities In Schools of Mid-America?
- Working with like-minded individuals who all have the same drive and passion to help others succeed.
- What advice do you have for kids who are struggling in school?
- Reach out to that 1 caring adult whom you trust in your school building. Whether that be your teacher, student support coordinator, custodian, secretary, nurse, or principal, reach out to them because they want to help you. You are not alone.
- What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
- That’s a tough call between water and sleep. But I’m going to have to go with sleep on this one.
- What is your favorite line from a movie?
- “My mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” -Forrest Gump (1994)
- Where is your favorite place to be?
- By the ocean with my feet in the sand.
- Which cartoon character would you most like to switch lives with?
- Garfield! Naps and lasagna are calling my name.
- If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
- Speak another language.
- If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring?
- All that free time to myself sounds wonderful! Music, water, and travel insurance. 😉
- You’re hosting a dinner party. Who are the 3 people, living or dead, who you would invite?
- My deceased father, my deceased paternal grandmother, and my daughter. I can’t think of anyone more perfect than to have 1 more dinner with than 3 most important people in my life.
