Today’s #StaffSpotlight highlights Program Director and Employee of the Month for April, Christine Armstrong! When Christine was nominated for employee of the month, her nominator said, “Christine deserves to be recognized for her dedication, hard work, and passion that she exemplifies every day! She has made a wonderful transition into her new role of Program Manager for our Anadarko team! She is a great leader, she is quick to help others when in need, she is resourceful and does a great job identifying solutions to problems, and she is often insightful and helps our team see situations from all perspectives.”

- What is your favorite thing about working at Communities In Schools of Mid-America?
- My favorite thing about working at CIS is watching how the developing relationships between students and coordinators empower the student to succeed because they know they have a caring safe adult on their side.
- What advice do you have for kids who are struggling in school?
- My advice would be to surround yourself with people that encourage you and always know that you can achieve more than you think.
- What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
- I could not live without my sweet tea!
- What is your favorite line from a movie?

- Where is your favorite place to be?
- Port Aransas, Texas, on the beach.

- If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
- Speak another language fluently.

- Firestarter

- My husband because I love doing everything with him
- My great great great grandfather Chief Tabananica so I can ask him about our tribe’s traditions
